About Maastricht Aachen Airport

Founded in 1945, Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST) nowadays is the base of Emirates, Qatar, Saudia, Royal Jordanian and Turkish Airlines. Being Netherlands second largest cargo hub MST is CEIV certified (pharma), preferred import station for flowers and specialized in handling Dangerous Goods. The airport has no slot restrictions and full 5th freedom rights.
In 2022 Royal Schiphol Group announced to take a share in MST Airport. Together with the province of Limburg RSG heavily invests in Maastricht Aachen Airport with tens of millions. The runway is being renovated next month and this year the airport and this year the airport will submit an application to extend the operational runway length to 2,750 meters.
