Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST) has once again been awarded the prestigious ISAGO accreditation (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations) by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This renewed certification underscores the airport’s ongoing commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism in ground handling operations.
In June, a team of ISAGO auditors conducted a comprehensive three-day audit at the airport. This biennial assessment is a key requirement for maintaining the accreditation and involves an in-depth review of operational procedures, training programs, and management systems related to ground handling services.
ISAGO is a globally recognized program aimed at enhancing safety and reducing incidents in ground operations. The audit covers a wide range of processes, including passenger check-in, cargo and baggage handling, pushback procedures, documentation, and the screening of passengers, baggage, and freight.
The renewal of this accreditation highlights the high professional standards and culture of continuous improvement that Maastricht Aachen Airport strives for.
‘We are proud to have our ISAGO status reaffirmed. It is a valuable recognition of the dedication and commitment of our teams, who ensure safe and efficient operations every day,’ said Jan Eerkens, Interim CEO of Maastricht Aachen Airport.
For airlines, partners, and passengers, the ISAGO accreditation serves as a strong endorsement of the reliability and quality of services at Maastricht Aachen Airport.
